St Ives archive and study centre
This is a fascinating place, housed by the old Parish rooms in the centre of town only 5 minutes walk away. Staffed entirely by volunteers it is a veritable treasure trove of information about St Ives with information on every aspect of the town in newspaper articles, maps, legal documents, correspondence, catalogues and books. It has an extensive collection of photographs which have been taken over the past one hundred and forty years, which you can purchase just like the one pictured - the harbour circa. 1950, or choose from an eclectic range of books and pamphlets. If you happen to have family or ancestors from St Ives then this is a must.
A great place to pop in, even for a quick ten minutes.
