St Michaels Mount and Marazion

St Michaels Mount

St Michael's Mount is truly unique (sorry about all the clichés, but its true); a tiny, rocky island filled with a medieval castle that is still inhabited. The image of the Cornish Mont St. Michel is rather iconic, however it's not as touristy as its French counterpart and we highly recommend a visit. Just remember your camera and a big memory card (or film if you still use it!) because the views both looking at it and from it are stunning. If you time your journey right you can walk across the rocky causeway with the tide out then catch the (free) boat ride back to the shore.

A single bus journey takes you there in about 30 minutes. Admission fees apply to the Castle. Free for NT members.
