Trebah
Trebah is a personal favourite of ours, somewhere that we regularly visit throughout the year. The stunning gardens lead down to a small private pebble beach on the Helford Estuary where you can while away the hours picnicking or skimming stones across the water. The beautiful, almost ethereal gardens are unlike any others; no formality here, just vision. Our wordsmith skills will never do it justice. They also have a great casual restaurant serving all home produced dishes including some fabulous quiches.
Getting there by public transport isn't easy, and we put it in the list because we love it so, but St Ives based Oates Travel run coach trips directly there throughout the year direct from town.
