Boat trip
There are plenty of opportunities to 'Get Afloat' from St Ives harbour. Various crafts sail each day to Seal Island where you can observe the grey Atlantic seals at play or rest and if you are lucky may even see sunfish and dolphins on the way. This trip which goes past the Tate Gallery, Porthmeor beach and along the beautiful coast will take about 1 hour 20 minutes. Other local boats also offer fishing trips and 'spinning' for mackerel.
Trips are tide and weather dependant and operate mainly in high season only. There are pleasure crafts for hire on fine weather days when you can meander around St Ives bay at your leisure, but make sure that you keep within the buoys! Remember your sun cream it can be misleading even on a cloudy day!
