Out and About in St Ives
It's hard to pigeon-hole St Ives, and probably a bad idea.
You could call it a harbour town rich in history, but that would risk overlooking its leading role in 20th century British art and the presence of Tate St Ives, as well as many thriving, smaller galleries and a community of working artists. And if you dwelt too long on its genuinely world-class, family-friendly beaches, you'd be ignoring the surfers who flock here, or the huge variety of excellent restaurants, cafes and bars that vie for your attention with a rich diversity of shops along narrow, winding streets. Use these pages to explore what St Ives has to offer, and follow the links to the many local attractions.
